This Month’s Races & Run Clubs
Happy August, Runner/Walkers!
In this week’s Runner’s High edition, we will be giving you all the information necessary on this month’s upcoming races and local run clubs in the Fort Lauderdale area. Our hope is to get you moving with like-minded individuals and engaging with your community. Getting active is great for the mind and body, and finding a social group to be active with is a great opportunity to stay informed and find your tribe.
Join us as we celebrate the joy of running and motivate each other to reach new goals.
Upcoming Races
5.4 Funky Run
This 5.4 mile run will be taking place on Saturday, August 19th at 7am at Vista View Park. Registration for this race ends at 6:55am on race day.

954 Iguana Man 5K/10K
These 5K/10K races will take place at 7am on Sunday, August 17 at Tradewinds Park. Registration for these races ends on August 17.

Back To School 5K / 10K
This out and back run/walk race will be taking place on Saturday, August 23 at 7am at 1100 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL US 33316. Registration for the 5K race ends at 9pm and the registration for the 10K ends at 8:30pm on August 22nd.

Stryde Social 2 Mile Run/Walk + Social Hour - 11am at Flow Fort Lauderdale

Drunk Club 1 Year Anniversary Run & Bar Crawl - 6pm at the Federal
Weekly Local Run Clubs
Tuesdays:
Team Fort Lauderdale Run Club (4.5 miles) - 6am at the Pompano Airpark
Tropical Run Crew (Track workout) - 6:15am at the Joseph C. Carter Park
Running Wild and Lauderdale Run Club 2 Mile Tuesdays (2 miles) - 6:30pm at Tarpon River Brewing (come early to get a free beer ticket!)
Team Fort Lauderdale Run Club (2 miles) - 6:30pm at Dangerous Minds Brewing
Soflo Sprint Squad (3-mile conversational pace track run) - 7:30pm run at Tequesta Trace Park
Wednesdays:
Fort Lauderdale Run Club (2 miles) - 6:30pm at Tommy Bahama Las Olas
Tropical Run Crew (Social 3 miles) - 6:40pm at Holiday Park (Parker’s Theatre meetup location for run, post-run social posted under Weekly Rundown on Instagram page)
Front Runners & Walkers FTL (3,4 or 6 miles) - 7pm at Holiday Park (Between the gymnasium and the football fields)
Thursdays:
Lauderdale Run Club (Track workout) - 5:30am at the Joseph C. Carter Park
Soflo Sprint Squad (1-3 miles and also a track workout) - 6:30pm warm up, 7:00pm run at Plantation Central Park
We Run Las Olas (3 miles) - 6:45pm meetup at the Palm Room
Team Fort Lauderdale Run Club (3 miles) - 6:45pm at George English Park
“Nameless” Run Club (1-5 miles) - location and times vary, please follow the link to check preferred date
Fridays:
Fort Lauderdale Run Club and “Nameless” Run Club (2-miles) - 6:30pm at Tin Roof (only the first Friday of the month)
Saturdays:
Tropical Run Crew (6.5+ miles) - 6:15am at the Parker Theatre
Front Runners & Walkers FTL (3,4 or 6 miles) - 7:30am at the Galleria Mall (Behind the Bank of America, west end of the mall)
“Nameless” Run Club (1-5 miles) - location and times vary, please follow the link to check preferred date
Sundays:
Team Fort Lauderdale Run Club (various distances) - 6am at Sullivan Park
Lauderdale Run Club (3-4 miles) - 8:00am at Earl Lifshey Ocean Park
Nice Jewish Runners South Florida (3.1 mile run, 2 mile walk) 8:15am at Wells Coffee Tarpon River
Front Runners & Walkers FTL (3,4 or 6 miles) - 6pm at the Pride Center in Wilton Manors
* Please keep in mind that times and locations may be open to change depending on the run, weather and special events. Check their individual social media accounts to see if any time/location adjustments were made. Also, please note that a few of the run clubs have group chats if you want to stay even more up to date with what is happening in that specific run club. Lastly, be on the lookout for special events and promotions. This is a great chance to socialize and maybe even win something useful!
